The Técnico Library is divided into several spaces across the different school campuses. In all of these spaces, it is possible to access:

• On-site reading – In addition to students, teachers, researchers, and administrative staff of IST, external users can also access the BIST reading rooms. A large portion of the collection is freely accessible and can be consulted directly.
• Access to electronic resources – From the computers available in the library spaces, users can access the Library Catalog and the Digital Library. Access to American Corner electronic resources is only available in the South Tower library.
• Wireless network – Using this network requires user authentication. Know more
• Information and reference service – Users are provided with information about the functioning and services of the Técnico Library. As part of this service, personalized support is also available—upon request—for conducting bibliographic research and using and exploring the information resources available in the Library.
• Group study rooms – There are group study rooms available at both Alameda and Oeiras campi. The group study room at the Alameda campus is located in the South Tower – Chemistry Library and requires reservation. Know more
