As is tradition at the start of each academic year, Técnico’s Library has just released its regular training calendar (Literacies) for 2025/2026. This programme is tailored to the needs of students and researchers and is completely free of charge.

The Literacies Programme has been carefully designed to offer an engaging and practical learning experience, structured around three key areas:

Information literacy

Learn how to search for and evaluate information with precision. These sessions introduce key research platforms, teach effective search strategies, and provide an overview of the library’s full range of services.

Scientific literacy

Ideal for the entire academic community, this track supports the development of scientific writing, publishing, and communication skills. Gain insights into avoiding plagiarism, selecting the right journal for your work, and refining your writing for publication.

Digital literacy

Master the digital tools that support academic life—from spreadsheets and reference managers to LaTeX document creation.

Training sessions within the Literacies Programme are open to both Técnico members and external participants. To attend, simply complete the registration form for the session you’re interested in. Registration opens one week prior to each session date.
